In 1982, 21 committed Manila Chi Alphans responded to the call of winning the island of Palawan for Jesus. Leading them was the visionary, Pastor Ancho Buenaventura, who later on founded Life Renewal Christian Ministries (LRC), the cutting edge and largest full-gospel, non-denominational church in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. From the humble beginnings of relocating from one fellowship venue to another, LRC found its home at Junction 2 San Pedro of the same city.

Geared up for its 25th founding year celebration, LRC made a bold step in changing its name to Life Church, a move that was well-embraced by its continuously growing congregation of believers.

New name, same heartbeat. Life Church's steadfast vision remains unwavering, to become an outstanding church of influence that produces life-changing, history making people with passion for true worship and a heart for global missions.

Life Church committed itself to reach 50% of Palawan for the glory of Jesus Christ. Life Church has planted municipal, outreach, tribal and satellite churches across Palawan and pioneered daughter churches in Manila, General Santos City, London and the United States.
